HA14 Task 03 – 3D Gameplay Animation Research

3D Walking Animation

The above video shows a walk cycle animation for a 3D human character. 
The way the character moves is interesting, because there is a lot of swinging to the arms and bouncing to his steps, which means the creator of the animation must have used a lot of bones to rig it. My animation technique could learn a lot from this.

3D Jumping Animation

This video is showing another 3D human animation, but this time doing a jumping animation. I found this quite useful because I will be doing a jump animation of my own, but with a 5-legged puppet. It will be slightly harder for me to animate a jump due to the amount of limbs my puppet has but the way the character crouches before springing forward has helped me to understand how I could produce a similar animation of my own.
